Greetings, Union College,

Since the first Union College degrees were conferred in 1893, Commencement has represented an opportunity to celebrate student achievement in a manner that highlights the core values of our institution.

Last year, our ceremony was virtual as we implemented pandemic protocols for campus health.  Over the year, thanks to the creativity and flexibility of faculty and staff, we made the adjustments necessary to continue educating our students safely, and we have learned from the experience. This year, we are confident that we can safely host an in-person ceremony with some modifications.  Here are the highlights of Union’s spring 2021 in-person Commencement!

  • Commencement will be held Saturday, May 8th
  • Each graduate will be assigned a time to arrive on campus the day of commencement.  Each graduate and up to six (6) guests will participate in an up-close and personal conferral of degree experience.
  • Graduates and their guests must adhere to health and safety protocols, including mask requirements, temperature checks and social distancing.
  • The ceremony will be live-streamed.

More specific details will be announced in the next couple of weeks.  We can’t wait to celebrate our 2021 graduating class!

Go Bulldogs!
